  1. My wool arrived today (excellent turn around time) and I am soooo impressed. I have wound one hank and this weekend I will be swatching.
So how did a woman with "smallies" at home end up promoting wool from north of the other side of the world????? Everyone else is to polite to ask.

  2. Dear Susan,
I'm so sorry for getting back to you so late. Life has caught up to me lately and I'm a little behind!

Well, to answer your question about how I came up with the idea for this little business...I sort of stumbled upon it. My husband's (Steve) heritage is Scandinavian and we had always wanted to visit Denmark and that part of the world. We started researching different aspects of the culture and came across the Faroe Islands and their sheep and wool. It caught my eye because I love to knit and I was surprised that no one here in the states had stumbled across it yet.

On a side note, I have been a stay at home mom for ten years. Unfortunately, like a lot of people, the company my husband worked for closed it's doors so we found ourselves without an income. Steve, has the business degree and is very computer savy, so we have tried to make this work for us.

My children have gotten a little older, my oldest being 10 and my youngest just turned 1, so I feel my time to pursue my dream of owning my own business can finally happen. My youngest "smally" has kept me so busy for the last year with all of her struggles, that I feel she is finally getting to a point of not needing me 24 hours a day! It's my time to have a little break and now Steve is Mr. Mom for a change.

We appreciate customers like you who are supporting us and believe in what we are trying to do. I feel our product is so unique and has such a special story that we hope someday my little business will catch on and everyone will love it as much as we do!

    Sincerely,
    Melissa
